Welcome

Miracle Brace, LLC. works with patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation to offer excellent results and accelerated progress. Whether you suffered an injury or are recovering from surgery, our Miracle Brace can help you to regain your full range of motion comfortably and as quickly as possible. Our innovative air splint system, used as part of the home exercise program (HEP), utilizes low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) technology that gets lasting results.

"The static progressive stretch brace (like The Miracle Brace,) has shown excellent results in the outcomes assessed... and should be a first recommendation for patients suffering from knee pathology."

Drs. Anton Khlopas, Nipun Sodhi, Assem A. Sultan -

Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

Neurological patients are exceptional candidates for dynamic air splinting. It constantly seeks the patient’s available end range of motion and continues to gently stretch the joint. Our dynamic air splints are non-invasive and designed to increase comfort through the use of low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) technology. The Miracle Brace is excellent for existing contracture patients and patients seeking early intervention. The Miracle Brace is your best option for a knee immobilizer.

Patients who were unable to straighten their leg had decreased range of motion, decreased quadriceps strength, decreased walking ability, and decreased quality of life.

Failure to straighten the leg was also associated with an increased risk of needing a second surgery.

What to expect after Knee Surgery

After your knee replacement, or other knee surgery, you might think your knee will work just fine.

Unfortunately, many people do not realize that straightening the knee after surgery is not as simple as they originally thought. Along with loss of strength, reduced extension is one of the most common complaints following knee replacement. Full motion of the knee can take three to six months to regain after surgery.

A customized physical therapy program will address residual stiffness by combining stretching, exercise and a steady, safe return to your daily activities. For some people, the challenge to get the knee extended properly after surgery can result from poor pain control, making it hard to move the knee; stiffness before surgery, which makes it more likely there will be stiffness afterward; heavy scarring because some people form scar tissue more readily than others.

This is why it's CRUCIAL to wear your Miracle Brace, immediately after your surgery.

Using your Brace after Surgery

Knee injury or post-knee surgery

Do You Have to Wear a Brace After Arthroscopic Knee Surgery?

Post-op instructions after having arthroscopic knee surgery are fairly simple and mostly involve ways to improve healing and to speed up the recovery period. You will be advised to limit the movement of your knee for a period of time after arthroscopy, and a knee brace is usually key in maintaining knee immobilization while your knee heals.

Wearing a Brace After Knee Arthroscopy

Knee braces are also recommended if your arthroscopic surgery involves repairing a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). This is because the graft that your orthopedic surgeon uses to reconstruct your ACL takes time to heal.  During the healing process – which may take six to ten weeks or even longer – your knee is at risk of damage, particularly if you put too much force on it. So, wearing a knee brace after arthroscopic knee surgery can protect the joint while it heals

When Can I Take My Knee Brace Off?

You will be advised to remove the brace when you take a shower or bath. This will give your knee and leg a break from wearing the brace, but you will receive instructions as to how to be careful and how to shower without jarring the healing knee.  You are likely to be asked to keep the knee brace on when sleeping, standing, and walking. The brace will help the knee to stay straight and not suffer an accidental twist or impact.

Keep in mind that wearing a brace is much better than having to wear a cast. You cannot remove a cast, whereas you can remove the knee brace and give your leg a break while sitting or lying down. It is best to keep the leg elevated while at rest, as this will help to foster proper blood circulation away from the leg (thereby avoiding swelling) and toward the heart.
